BEHIND THE SEAMS
3% of the world’s arable land is used for cotton production, but accounts for 11% of pesticides and 24% percent of insecticides. These pesticides, insecticides and polluting chemicals contribute massively to groundwater and soil contamination. 2,700 liters of water are used to make one cotton shirt, which is enough water for one person to drink for 2.5 years.
Our pastel floral print cotton is an exclusively sourced vintage fabric. We used the small remaining quantity, saved the abundant resources and energy used to create it, and thoughtfully gave this fabric a new life, as our charming Nichols Dress.
Choosing vintage fabric is one important step towards effectively breaking the harmful cycle and realizing the ultimate form of sustainability. Our brand believes in saving our planet and minimizing our waste, water and energy footprint wherever we can. We strive to be a part of the emergent movement towards sustainable fashion.
