THE SYCAMORE DRESS

1900’s inspired short length, black-teal floral print sleeveless dress. Detailing soft ruffles along the armhole and neck, narrow pin tucks along the shoulders, as well as self-covered buttons down center front to provide easy access for breastfeeding. Comes with a thin belt that may be tied to accentuate the waist. Paired with black-teal floral print culottes, full-cut and gathered at upper thigh.

Nearly 70 million barrels of oil are used every year to produce polyester. The production is a high impact process. 125 megajoules of energy is required per kilogram of polyester produced. 14.2 kg of CO2 is emitted per kilogram of polyester produced.

Our black teal floral print polyester is a fabric that was produced by a larger design house. The full quantity was not used by them and would have ended up in a landfill. So, we saved the fabric, the abundant resources and energy used to create it, and chose to give this deadstock fabric a second life, as our charming Sycamore Dress.

Choosing deadstock fabric is one important step towards effectively breaking the harmful cycle. Our brand believes in saving our planet and minimizing our waste, water and energy footprint wherever we can. We strive to be a part of the emergent movement towards sustainable fashion.
