THE DOHENY DRESS

1950’s inspired short length, A-line, black-silver woven jacquard sleeveless dress. Features a rounded square front neckline, snap fastening along center front to provide easy access for breastfeeding, finished with crafted pearly grey buttons. Detailing a deep back neckline and center-back seam. Paired with black-silver woven jacquard culottes, full-cut and gathered at upper thigh.

Layer over a contrasting Wilshire Dress, Blue Heights Dress or Sycamore Dress.

Nearly 70 million barrels of oil are used every year to produce polyester. The production is a high impact process. 125 megajoules of energy is required per kilogram of polyester produced. 14.2 kg of CO2 is emitted per kilogram of polyester produced.

Our black silver woven jacquard polyester is a fabric that was produced by a larger design house. The full quantity was not used by them and would have ended up in a landfill. So, we saved the fabric, the abundant resources and energy used to create it, and chose to give this deadstock fabric a second life, as our classic Doheny Dress.

Choosing deadstock fabric is one important step towards effectively breaking the harmful cycle. Our brand believes in saving our planet and minimizing our waste, water and energy footprint wherever we can. We strive to be a part of the emergent movement towards sustainable fashion.
